Honey Bees are about 15mm in length and have a hairy body. Their stinger is at the end of their abdomen and can be very painful. Honey Bees feed on nectar and pollen that they collect from flowers, returning it to the hive where it is used to feed the colony and workers, thereby helping with the making of honey.

Baldface Hornet

Hornets can be dangerous to deal with. The workers are black with white markings and usually nest in bushes, attics, trees, hydro poles, houses, and sheds. They make their nest from a paper substance which is derived from their saliva and paper (wood). Their sting can be very painful and is one you will want to avoid.

Yellow Jackets can be dangerous to deal with. The workers have a yellow band on the first segment of their head and thorax and a yellow band on their abdomen. Nests can contain as many as 2,000 workers. They will build their nest in homes, apartment buildings, and sheds, in attics and in wall cavities. Their sting can be very painful.
