Norway Rats

The Norway Rat can be brown to black on back and sides, grey and white on their belly. They will eat meat, fish, flour, fruit and vegetables – almost any food consumed by humans. They usually nest in basements and lower levels of homes and buildings. they will burrow in soil, under garages, sheds, and walkways. They are more active at night and are good swimmers.

Roof Rats

Roof rats can be black and dark brown with a greyish underbelly. They feed on seeds (bird), fruit, vegetables, grain, eggs, and other food consumed by humans. Roof rats usually nest in upper portions of homes, buildings and trees. They are excellent climbers and very active at night.
